2023 will welcome the sixth year for PSLL's Challenger Division!

Boys and girls with physical and developmental challenges between the ages of 4 and 18 (or still in high school) can enjoy the game of baseball in a supportive, non-competitive environment.

Challenger games are held on Sunday afternoons at Con Edison Field or Stuytown between April and June, weather permitting.  There is no fee for Challenger players.  Uniforms (tee shirts and caps) are provided by the league.

Games are two innings long, with each team hitting through the line-up once each inning.  There are no balls, strikes or outs. Depending on ability, batters can hit off a tee or a parent will soft toss.

Challenger is about the celebration of another type of extraordinary little leaguer, but is not just about the players.  The success of Challenger is equal parts the player and their Buddy, who is typically a player  from another division.  Buddies stay with players throughout the game so parents can enjoy watching their children play ball.

If you are interested having your child participate in our Challenger program, participate as a Challenger Buddy, or have general questions, please email Suzanne Zacharias at suzanne_zacharias@yahoo.com.

If you would like to help support this amazing program, we offer a wide variety of tax-deductible sponsorship programs that will help extend your business' brand to our community of more than 800 players and families. Please email sponsor@psll.org for more information.
